Cross country - new date

Dear Parents/Caregivers

School Cross Country for Year 0-4 will be held at Arthur Adcock Memorial Reserve on Wednesday 25th May race times as follows:

1:45pm - Year 4 race 1 lap

1:55pm - Year 3 race 1 lap

2:05pm - Year 2 race 1/2 lap

2:10pm - Year 0/1 race 1/2 lap

As it is a House competition students will be able to wear mufti in their house colours only. 

This is always a fantastic event and we strongly encourage parents to come along and support their children.

Parklands library visit

Today Room 8 went to our local library during our reading time. Librarian Steve read a great story and the children were then able to explore the library and issue books. A scavenger hunt to end rounded up a fabulous library session. Thankyou Parklands Library!

Check-In week

This week we are checking-in with our tamariki about where they are at with their learning. Each day this week your child will bring home a poem instead of a reading book as teachers are using reading group times to work with individuals.

We look forward to reporting to you all the wonderful things your tamariki are doing later in the term

Cross Country

Kia Ora,

Cross country is coming up this Wednesday (postponement day Friday).

We will be having an early lunch on this day from 12 - 12:45.

The middle team will be walking to Adcock Reserve together at 1:30.

Please make sure that your children are wearing good running shoes and warm clothing on this day - the weather forecast isn't looking great!

We would to see you there to support your tamariki!

Adcock reserve action!

Today we looked at a special delivery that appeared over night. New club rooms from Freeville are now in place at the Parklands Bowling Club. The building was cut in half in brought over on trucks!

Slippers

Kia Ora Whānau,

Now that the weather is getting a bit cooler we are happy for our tamariki to bring slippers to wear in class. Keep them nice and warm!

It's been lovely having everyone back and catching up with our children about their awesome holidays.
